Bourgueil, Les Perrières, 2011

This comes from 30-40-year-old vines in the rocky limestone Perrières vineyard which is aged in 1/4 new oak barriques. Such a pretty cuvée; silky and highly polished with sweet mulberry fruit and raspberry pip nuances, plenty of mineral freshness and a lick of wood spice, rock salt and blueberry through the finish.
