Clos de Venise, 2019

Located on the première côte of Vouvray, this is a single-hectare site that faces southwest and sits on limestone with flint. The 2019 Venise is a big wine with a plump, round frame like the shape of an orange. There's a nice line of acidity that courses through the wine, giving refreshment on the finish, which delivers fine, nutty length and a clean, slightly chalky finish. Attractive.
