This smells wonderful straight out of the blocks, honey and crushed rocks, grapefruit and peach. On the palate, great focused intensity, electric acidity and honeyed lime juice and limestone. Palpable extract and a long finish. Very bright and pure. This is ultra-vivid Vouvray, from a cool vineyard, that should go on for another decade.

From Blot’s southeast facing site in Vouvray (which he must label as Vin de France). Bright, crisp, and high-toned. Citrus zest, grapefruit, tangerine, and melon. More linear than 2018, and a little more austere as well.
