The Franc de Pied comes from a tiny parcel of ungrafted vines in the stoniest section of Clos de la Hutte. Raised for 18 months in glass demijohn and oak cigar, it is produced in minute quantities. The emphasis is firmly on minerality, with incisive tension drawn from the pure schist soils. Rare and uncompromising, it stands as the most incisive expression of schist in the range and will resonate deeply with the Chenin purist.
