Savennières, Clos de la Hutte, 2023

Long regarded as one of Savennières’ grand crus, the 2023 shows a gentler profile than in previous vintages. Flinty reduction marks the nose, alongside citrus peel and delicate hints of blossom. The palate has a softer frame this year, with pale stone fruit and grapefruit shaped by tonic bitterness and persistent saline freshness. More open and approachable than in recent vintages, it nonetheless retains the authority, purity and mineral tension that define Clos de la Hutte.
