Savennières, Clos Devant Le Jeu, 2023

Clos Devant Le Jeu is Thibaud’s newest vineyard, planted in 2019, with 2023 marking its inaugural vintage. Adjacent to Clos de Frémine, it sits on warm, south-facing slopes with notably shallow, schist-dominant soils lightly interspersed with sand. The nose carries a gentle smokiness, alongside delicate white blossom and green apple. The palate is firm and finely textured, with orchard fruit and citrus, framed by a cool, salty finish. Stylistically it sits between the lifted aromatic expression of Clos de Frémine and the broader more powerful Clos de la Hutte.
