Savennières, Le Clos de Frémine, 2018

The most floral of Thibaud’s Savennières, from a historic plot just below Clos de la Hutte, sand over Schist. A delicately aromatic, floral and white peach scented Chenin Blanc that glides across the palate like a lace butterfly. A bounty of crisp orchard fruits and blossom flavours almost hides the steely silk that forms the superfine backbone of this wine. A devilishly difficult blind wine choice, produced from five different clones of Chenin Blanc in the village of Poissonieres.
