    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Mont-Redon make one of the most popular white Châteauneufs in the region. Produced in a very fresh style, tank fermented and aged sur lie without any oak influence, bottled the spring after the vintage. The usual blend is Grenache (40%), Bourboulenc (25%), Clairette (20%), Roussanne (10%) and Picpoul (5%). The 2009 shows excellent fresh floral aromas, complex notes of white flower, peach blossom with faintest touches of jasmine and cinnamon, the palate bursts with fruit flavours of citrus peel, apricot and greengage, a full-flavoured white Châteauneuf of wonderful energy and clarity.

Pale yellow. Fresh pear and yellow plum on the fragrant, herb-accented nose. Supple and expansive, offering juicy orchard fruit flavors that are given a refreshingly bitter edge by a suggestion of orange marmalade. Alluringly ripe and velvety on the lengthy finish, which features notes of jasmine and anise.
