The Juffer GG is typically the lighter and more ebullient and charming of the GGs, more dancing lime, apple and citrus with a crumbly, lively feel – joyful. Fermented and aged two thirds in fuder barrels and one third in tank.

The 2025 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer Grosses Gewächs, from parcels just outside the Sonnenuhr site, is still shy on the nose but comes with such suppleness, such friendliness and tender creaminess. That beautiful yeasty, stony, lemony and creamy backdrop tingles with just a smattering of white pepper that gives a wonderful thrill. (Bone-dry)
