Complex, grassy and herbal earthy notes, tons of slate and a super racy, razor sharp acidity - expressive but impressively focused. An initially light impression on the palate is followed up with enormous energy and complexity, with touches of wild ferment, smoke, citrus oils, apples and heather. Super smart. Slow ripeness means that the oeschle level was not so high, so the intensity is apparent more than the sugar. Hugely structured with plenty of extract for long term ageing, if desired.
