Verily an auction Spatlese for all intents and purposes, the Rausch AP #4 is a big step up on the regular #5, being a more serious selection of ripened berries with some healthy botrytis making its way in to the blend. Just one barrel was made and offered exclusively to J&B. A silky, smooth and refined Spatlese offering a heightened sense of delineation, with crushed rocks, herbs, smoke and plusher stone fruits. Sculpted in shape with a long yet weightless intensity. Absolutely superb.
