96/100Stephan Reinhardt,Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The 2020 Auf der Ley GG is the first vintage that was also filled in 75-centiliter bottles instead of only magnums, but it will still be sold exclusively through the auction in Bad Kreuznach in November this year. The wine shows an intense and concentrated, flinty bouquet of perfectly ripe and super ripe fruit. Full-bodied, intense and textural on the palate, this is a dense and complex, crystalline Riesling with fine acidity and tannin structure. Very long, intense and finely bitter. Very promising. 12.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in July 2021.
