The 2022 Riesling Monzinger Auf der Ley Grosses Gewächs opens with impressions of the freshest, zestiest lemon. The palate presents clear-cut stony purity against a gentle, lemony yeasty backdrop. As the wine warms, Mirabelle hints appear, but the principal notion is tone, verve and elegance. The 2022 is lithe yet profound, absolutely serene and so long.
