Okonomierat Rebholz
Im Sonnenschein, Weisserburgunder, Grosses Gewächs, 2020
justerini & brooks tasting note
Pure shell limestone soils. Yellow fruits combined with stony aromas, touches of saffron and exotic spice. great minerality across the palate provides definition to the fruit. With a long finish this feels really finely crafted, both intense but also elegant. The texture of the wine is threaded with extract and tannins. The Rebholz twins consider this the most Chablisienne wine in their range and certainly the intersection fruit and chalky minerality does support that. From vines over 30 years old.
