Much more restrained than the Rosengarten, chalk and white flowers, caraway seed, lemon zest and fine smoky stones, a very sophisticated nose from this GG, that hails from an excellent vineyard that sits just about the famed Marcobrun. The slopes are if anything steeper than Marcobrun and the style is always one of Rheingau restraint and minerality.
