Hohen- Sülzen, Spätburgunder, Alte Reben, Erste Gewächs, 2022

The village level Alte Reben feels riper and a little darker fruited than the estate Pinot, edging toward plum and currants, with a kiss of supporting oak from the second use barrels, and finer tannins. It carries the VDP designation “Aus Ersten Lagen 1G” which means “From Premier Cru Sites”.
