Aromatically more compact than the Castiglione Falleto crus, Brea is more tightly wound, with a more vertical structure lifting the blueberries, cassis, and brambly fruits, with a mineral, stony, salty core than keeps the mouth-watering. This certainly has everything in place for long term cellaring if desired, but then again, its youthful freshness, vivid fruits and incredible persistence make this a pretty exciting wine from the get-go.
