Barbaresco, Sori San Lorenzo, 2020
justerini & brooks tasting note
Closest to the river. Nebbiolo like humidity. More limestone. Solid tannins and structure. The barolo of Barbaresco. Lots of sand. The complete package. Soft and inviting yet muscular and powerful. Black cherry, wild strawberry and orange peel. Wild herbs and a hint of white pepper. A lovely saline twang. So much freshness and grace. Wonderful.

The 2020 Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo is ample and potent, with tons of mid-palate intensity and palate-staining resonance. Black cherry, plum, new leather, licorice, gravel and dried herbs abound. As is so often the case, Sorì San Lorenzo is the most inward.
