Barolo, Le Coste, 2000

Good full medium red. Nuanced nose combines mocha, underbrush and smoky, nutty oak. Sweet, rich and nutty, with more verve and spice character than the estate's Sotto Castello di Novello bottling. Still, this seems a bit evolved for its age. Finishes with dusty, late-arriving tannins and good length.
