Barbaresco, Crichet Paje,

A special bottling from a half hectare plot at the top of the Paje vineyard. The wine spends eight years in large oak cask as opposed to five for the rest of Roagna’s range. Only 1,646 bottles of this were produced. Absolutely stunning. This has real wow-factor, heady but weightless, sublime in its depth and gravitas, superbly defined flavours of ripe bramble, sweet spice and tobacco with lighter rose scents. Lingering, complex and vivid flavours. Utterly compelling.
