Funnily enough, I found the nose of the 2021 Ignios Origenes Baboso Negro to show hints of over-ripeness, with notes of plums and ripe melon. The wine shows 13.5% alcohol on the label vs. the 12.5% from the 2020 that I tasted next to it. It also had some volatility (vinification of very small volumes is problematic), and the grape is also quite finicky. Only 349 bottles were produced, the smallest vintage to date.
