Cellars Mas Doix was an estate created in 1998 by the Doix and LLagostera families. The estate comprises 12 ha of predominantly Garnacha and Carinena vines aged between 75-100 years old planted at between 350 and 400 metres above sea level on slopes of slate known locally as Licorella, which imparts a strong minerality to the wine. The fruit quality here is outstanding, berries are hand picked, the must is then fermented in temperature controlled vats with skin contact for 3-4 weeks before ageing in 75% new allier oak for 14 months. These are incredibly distinguished Prioratos, pure with a touch of modernity, deep complexity and slick tannic structures.
