Germany 2024: Vinous’ Top Scoring Dry Wines

In the midst of our Germany 2024 offer, Anne Krebiehl MW, Germany critic for Vinous Media, has published her tasting notes and scores on an array of wines, predominantly dry from the Rheinhessen, Nahe and Pfalz. She writes, “lovers of classic, cool, highly expressive Rieslings are in for a treat in 2024. The wines are distinctly fresh, svelte and bright, with excellent extract and bright acidity. The best also display immense brilliance. All are beautifully balanced, afforded by the slower ripening and longer vegetative season.”

With our offer deadline approaching this Friday 19th September at 5pm GMT, we thought it helpful to highlight a selection of dry wines that we adore and that have been endorsed by Krebiehl too. It is worth adding that Battenfeld-Spanier and Kühling-Gillot– two wineries brought together by marriage but made under the same roof – are now receiving the acclaim they deserve, occupying lofty positions in the Vinous report, intermingled with Keller and Wittmann – fine company to be in!

We will follow this dry wine offer with a set of off-dry, fruity and sweet wine recommendations tomorrow.
