Nuits St Georges, Les Ronciers, 1er Cru, 2022

The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru seems to carry the 50% new oak better than the Bousselottes, offering a mélange of red and black fruit, a light oyster shell influence in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe red berry fruit, veins of blood orange and a tang of marmalade leading to a slightly savory finish that lingers in the mouth. Afford this three or four years in bottle.
