Creamy, black and blue fruits studded with silky tannins and fragrant freshly cut herb aromatics. This is deft and skilful, soft notes of grilled oak, well integrated acidities, appealing and easy to love. Paul Hobbs owner, Diana Fornasero winemaker at this 11ha no-till vineyard. Whole cluster winemaking retains juice and character, from the upper reaches of the Chanares vineyard, granite-dominant soils.
The 2022 Malbec Cobos is a blend of 60% from the Chañares vineyard in Uco Valley and 40% from the Hobbs vineyard in Luján de Cuyo. This is a red defined by its oak, showing vanilla and cedar alongside plum, blackberry, spices and field herbs. This achieves a balance between volume and finesse, with a juicy, plush texture and integrated oak. The result is intense and seductively plush.
