Tightly wound and displaying lots of mineral power alongside notes of fine lime fruit, verbena bergamot. Savoury, saline minerals pepper the palate, sleek and refined but also rich in concentration and power. Glorious stuff, seamless and harmonious and very very long. The Schlossberg St Catherine always comes from the mid Slopes of the Schlossberg vineyard, from 50-60 year old vines and as such tends to offer up a glorious marriage of the elegance of the high toned higher slopes and the richness and power of straight St Catherine's lower slopes. 14% abv.
