Rich and knitted down, needs time to aerate, black cherry, crayon, graphite. Great texture, slow progression through the palate, you could drink in a few years or keep for a decade. Highly successful, with estate signature. Harvest September 1 until 26 September, 20% new oak.
The 2022 Petit-Figeac is lovely, offering up aromas of cherries, raspberries, licorice, pencil shavings and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety palate that's lively and long. It's a strong second wine.
The 2022 Petit-Figeac has a Cabernet-driven nose featuring dark berry fruit, pencil shaving and a touch of dried blood. The palate is medium-bodied and quite saline, with fine tannins on the entry and blackberry, raspberry, wild mint and clove notes toward the peppery finish. This will need just a few months in bottle but will age with style if desired.
