The 2025 Gazin was picked between August 28 and September 10 and aged in 40% new oak. It has a perfumed nose, well defined, with touches of oyster shell emerging with time and combining with the black fruit, remaining quite classical and old school in style. The palate is medium-bodied with ample weight. Rounded and pliant tannins, hints of truffle towards the finish, which just needs a little more grip. This will be one of the more approachable vintages from this Pomerol stalwart.
Intense, dark berry fruits, an old school Pomerol, austere and strict at this early stage, with high tannic count that slowly builds through the palate. Definitely in the Left Bank style of Gazin, needs time to soften. Tasted twice
The 2025 du Gazin reveals aromas of dark berries, cassis, spices and lead pencil. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and long, it’s built around a limestone-driven structure with a well-defined presence through the mid-palate. Ethereal and fresh in profile, it combines depth with a sense of lift. It's a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
