Deep garnet-purple colored. Delivers notes of mulberries and juicy strawberries with hints of graphite and fired herbs. The light to medium-bodied palate is approachable with soft tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing savory.
The 2024 Grand Puy Ducasse has a light and unprepossessing bouquet with pretty blackberry and briar scents and hints of smoke and tobacco in the background. The new oak seems nicely assimilated. The palate is medium-bodied and compact with sappy black fruit and moderate depth. Though it lacks a bit of complexity on the finish, this is a decent Pauillac for the vintage but there will be better to come for sure.
Impactful aromatics of cocoa bean, coffee, grilled raspberry, this is carefully constructed, unfussy fruits that skirt full ripeness but has balance and character. 35% new oak, 43 hl/ha yield. New cellar now fully open.
Offering up discreet aromas of red berry fruit and new oak, the 2024 Grand-Puy-Ducasse is medium-bodied, firm and compact.
