Carruades de Lafite, Pauillac, 2012

Very closed, almost introverted. After some coaxing one gets a glimpse of what lies in wait. Very cool cassis flavours, purple fruit with hints of damson and cherry stone. This is svelte, tense and bright. A classy Carruades with plenty of minerality and length. 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
