    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
Château Lascombes, 2ème Cru Classé, Margaux, 2003

Sumptuous red and black fruits on the nose, classy, rich but restrained. There are red cherry fruit aromas followed by a good balance on the palate between the richness and ripeness of the fruit, and the refined tannic structure, which is fully integrated. Classy and attractive. An assemblage of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.

Excellent deep red. Very sexy, expressive aromas of plum and milk chocolate. Sweet, lush and ripe, with considerable power and thrust for the vintage. Very 2003 in its slightly roasted character but this boasts very good concentration and finishes with sweet, broad tannins and excellent length. Fleshy and evolved enough to give pleasure now, but should hold up well for the next 10 to 15 years. A Margaux standout in 2003.
