Réserve de la Comtesse, Pauillac, 2016

Now we're talking. This is proper Pauillac - cut flowers, Cabernet perfume, pencil shavings and pure cassis. Nico Glumineau's Midas touch continues in 2016. This must rank amongst the best Reserve de la Comtesses ever, it has the poise and breed of a grand vin, such purity and such wonderfully textured fruit. There's also a really alluring sappiness; handsome and firm, yet pretty and detailed. A stunning Reserve with such fine and detailed tannins. Superb! 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc.
