    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
    Château Potensac, Médoc, 2007

A brooding nose that is powerful yet withdrawn; intense and pure on the palate with ripe, succulent cassis fruit; silky smooth tannins and good length of flavour. Impressive at this level of property. 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, with 34% new barrels.

    ABV:
    13%
    85-88/100
    Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
(a blend of 45.2% merlot, 44.8% cabernet sauvignon and 10% cabernet franc) Good medium ruby. Medicinal black cherry, mint and camphor on the pure nose, lifted by violet (from the cabernet franc?). Densely packed if a bit youthfully brutal, with a distinctly primary quality to the dark fruit flavors. Tannic for 2007, but with good freshness.
