Chateau Teyssier dates back to the 18th century, however, the vineyards have expanded dramatically in the last 10 years. Jonathan Maltus has made some shrewd purchases to both increase the volume and the quality of this well liked estate. Now production is some 15,000 cases, which makes it one of if not the biggest estate in the St Emilion commune. Produced from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, this offers ripe black cherry notes and vanilla on the nose. The palate is packed with little black berries; very pure and seductive with ample length of flavour, real intensity, fine tannins and a delightful, fresh, pure fruit finish.
