The 2025 Clos l'Église was picked 8 to 19 September at around 19 hl/ha, aged in vat and in barrels. This is intense on the nose with black berries, touches of licorice and cassis, cohering nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins on the entry that lend tension. Very good weight and density in this Pomerol, structured with gentle grip, fine minéralité towards the finish that lingers in the mouth. This will require four or five years in bottle, but there is a lot of potential here.
