St Aubin, En Remilly, 1er Cru, 2020
Sunkissed yet so radiant and full of verve - attractive golden berry and Mirabelle fruit covers a lot of mineral and stony extract; charming and sunny but long and agile. Seductive and very stylish. From a top notch south-facing vineyard, just behind the woods above Le Montrachet, on the road to St Aubin. The soil is dry and stony, whilst the Combe has a cooling influence. Fermentation and élévage take place in 350 litre barrels, with no bâtonnage, for 12 months before six months in stainless steel.
critic reviews
The 2020 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a fresh, vivacious nose with wet limestone scents filtering through the green apple and citrus aromas. The palate is very well balanced, linear and Puligny-like, and quite strict and penetrating, leading to a citrus-fresh finish. I can just imagine this with some fresh oysters! Very fine.
