Gevrey Chambertin, Clos du Fonteny, 1er Cru, 2020

Concentrated but focused, offering suave bramble and loganberry fruit, with a hint of dark chocolate and cool earth. Deep, complex and fresh, woven together by fine-grained tannins. Classy, profound and vital Gevrey. A slightly north facing Gevrey 1er Cru, influenced by the cooling Combe. The vines produce tiny millerande berries every year, making for deep, dark fresh wines.
