Gevrey Chambertin, Les Cazetiers, 1er Cru, 2009
justerini & brooks tasting note
A first rate Gevrey Premier Cru vineyard high up on the slope next door to Clos St. Jacques, whilst there is a similar aromatic quality to the wines of its neighbour the taste profile is very different: broad, round and alluring, rich unctuous flavours of ripe brambles, mulberries, griotte and complex touches of coffee bean.

Good bright medium red. Reticent aromas of cherry, minerals, coffee and mocha. Shows the creaminess of the year, with fleshy, round flavors of red berries, bitter cherry and spices. But this round, nicely concentrated wine can't match the Dominode for energy or structure. Finishes with dusty tannins.
