    A racy, fine-tuned style of Echézeaux from the high “Dessus” part of the vineyard. A rich, ripe and sumptuous attack, but it gets higher toned and more focused and defined as it dances across the palate. This is fabulously airy and vibrant, bursting with fresh, ripe red cherry and red berry fruits; this is all about finesse and nuance. Long and lively. Breathtaking.

    The 2011 Echezeaux du Dessus is totally seamless. Soft, generous and impeccable in its balance the Echezeaux du Dessus is first and foremost a wine of texture. Floral and spice notes emerge over time, but it is the wine's inviting, supple personality that stands out most. I expect the 2011 to develop nicely in bottle, but it is going to be pretty hard to resist young.
