Meursault, Les Perrières, 1er Cru, 2019

Powerful, mineral Meursault, this demonstrates a crystalline character that recalls the Terroir d’Exception but with a great deal more drive and strength. Rich but energetic, this has an intense inner core of crushed stones, rock salt and herb characteristics driving this wine through to an explosively rich finish of stone fruit, honey and woody spices. Incredible intensity with balance. Impressive indeed. From two parcels within Perrières Dessus, just above their Bourgogne Terroir d'Exception, and 55-year-old and 45-year-old vines.
