    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Gripping, tense, yet satin-textured and suave. Powerful, refined, edgy flavours of red berries, cherry, damson and a hint of salt. Stylish, long and really focused. A fine old vines (60-year-old) lieu-dit situated just underneath the Champeaux 1er Cru on a gentle slope, where the vines are well exposed to the sun yet also benefit from the cooling Combes de Lavaux and Brochon valleys. One of the very best terroirs for Gevrey villages.

    Critic Reviews

    Stephen Tanzer,
    Vinous
(aging in 30% new oak, vs. 60% in 2011): Saturated bright red with ruby highlights. Vibrant aromas of black cherry, minerals, violet and spices. Rich and broad but with a light touch; in a spicy, very elegant style, with lovely inner-mouth perfume. Finishes with substantial tannins, noteworthy persistence and a distinct minty reserve.
