Bourgogne, Aligoté, 2023
Now featuring a very smart new label in line with the rest of the range, the Folie Aligoté comes from a 100-year-old parcel of Aligoté Doré, which accounts for the flesh and breadth that accompanies the classic Aligoté lines. Fermented in tank to enhance the fine fruit flavours, this is a beautifully white fruited rendition, all pears and white flowers with dried lemon pith notes enlivening the finish. A gentle pleasure and just 12% abv.

The 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté comes from vines planted in the middle of the Rully Village and saw no wood contact. It has a light nose with touches of peppermint in the background and a hint of linseed oil. The palate is nicely balanced with a rounded texture and a touch of pink grapefruit and golden raisin toward the finish. Fine.
