Impeccable pure cherry fruit, very open, easy, gentle and bright. A charming Sizies, with sleek polished red fruit and plenty of up-front appeal. A bottling that hails from 35 year old vines on clay soils, fermented with one third whole bunches and 10% new oak. Invariably designed to be broached young.

Racked in tank, the 2023 Beaune Les Sizies 1er Cru includes 25% whole cluster and 10% new oak. This is perfumed and floral on the nose with ebullient red cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins, quite mineral-driven through the fresh, stony finish. Classy.
