A fantastic Clos de Vougeot, juicy and engaging but with bite and structure, too. Crunchy fresh berry and plum fruit, powerful but assured and balanced - this gains in complexity towards the expansive finish, revealing notes of Victoria plum and bullace. Aged in 45% new oak and fermented with 30 percent whole bunches.

The 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has one-third whole bunch. It has a precise bouquet and very pure with ebullient red fruit laced with crushed stone. Wonderful focus. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, fine depth and cohesion, well-integrated oak with dark fruit and brown spices emerging towads the persistent finish. Excellent. Closure: Diam
