The 2017 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a precise, complex and beautifully focused bouquet that really expresses its terroir; there is perhaps some very discreet and assiduous stem addition here. The palate is crystalline on the entry and displays exquisite poise and refinement, plenty of tension and energy, and slightly piquant red fruit toward the persistent finish. Just wonderful.
