Lovely silky fruit with plenty of stuffing to boot. Notes of fresh ripe red berries and fruit liqueur mixed with more complex touches of undergrowth and sap. A lovely interplay between sweet fruit and savoury vitality. Very smart Vosne Villages. From a Villages parcel on the Nuits side of the commune.

(made from 12 parcels encompassing 7 different terroirs, according to Grivot): Bright, dark red. Aromas of black cherry and cocoa powder. Juicy and energetic, showing lovely inner-mouth lift and refinement to its flavors of black fruits, licorice, violet and cocoa powder. Quite tightly wound on the sappy back end, spreading out subtly and leaving behind vibrant note of spices and black pepper.
