Domaine Perrot Minot
Mazoyères Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2016
justerini & brooks tasting note
Very much a ‘Gevrey’ Grand Cru. An attack that is bold and blustering. Large-framed and fleshy in character. Rich flavours of cherry, bramble, iron and tobacco leaf. A parcel of 60 year-old vines from the prime ‘Haut’ part of the Mazoyeres vineyard opposite Combottes and Méo¬Camuzet-Chambertin, close to Chrisophe’s Charmes but so different in profile with much deeper soils, giving bigger richer wines.
