Morey St Denis, En La Rue de Vergy, 2019
Full, voluptuous cherry, bramble and raspberry liqueur fruit. Seductive, rich and glossy with some mineral depth, too, and a surprising aromatic freshness on the finish to lift the slick, ripe fruit. Impressive. From three parcels within the En La Rue de Vergy vineyard that sits above Clos de Tart, this reflects the generous fruity side of Morey St Denis.
critic reviews
The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis La Rue de Vergy bursts with aromas of cherries, rose petals, raspberries and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, its demonstrative core of succulent fruit is underpinned by fine, powdery tannins.
The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis en la Rue de Vergy has a lovely, almost caressing bouquet of very pure dark cherry and boysenberry fruit Iaced with vanilla. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, a keen thread of acidity and an understated yet persistent finish. This is a lovely entry-level wine amongst Christophe Perrot-Minot’s range.
