Drouhin Laroze
Chapelle-Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2016
justerini & brooks tasting note
Always one of the more dense and compact Grands Crus of this cellar but the 2016, whilst remaining true to type, has the most wonderfully polished, velvety texture. There is a great sense of balance here, too. A nice mix of red and dark fruit, cherries, sloes and hedgerow berries with an enlivening herb and salt undertow. Fermented to 40% whole bunches.
