Drouhin Laroze
Latricieres Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2016
justerini & brooks tasting note
A live wire but less austere than it can be. Wonderfully crispy rock and mineral notes give this real edge and life, there is some very fine, bright polished fruit to go with these savoury elements too. Classy notes of loganberry, bramble and raspberry with a salty kick. Bracing and uplifting. Excellent. Fermented with 40% whole bunches. Méo-Camuzet is a stonier and windier terroir than the other Grands Crus of Gevrey, producing firm, minerally wines.
